Welcome to the New Children of the Military
Section of Popcorn Magazine
The Popcorn kids would like to offer their assistance in helping children deal with the complications of war. This page is dedicated to those young people who have family members and friends deployed to Iraq or Afghanistan. In most cases they are too young to know the politics of war but what they do know is that their loved ones are not home. How can they vent their frustrations when they are trying to be brave little soldiers like their mothers or fathers that are left behind?
The military is doing their best to have support groups and activities to redirect the minds of these children from their situation. Some are able to function and pretend that all is ok, but others suffer in silence not knowing who or where to turn. Popcorn magazine will give them an alternative outlet. They can express themselves in anyway they want; write a story about their feelings, a poem, drawing or even a rap. If they simply have questions concerning their feelings, they can write one of our child psychiatrist or psychologists on staff, because we at Popcorn Magazine are dedicated in this effort to help.
This opportunity is also open to children who want to talk about their experiences in the military in general. So get busy and let us hear from you. We will publish your opinions on our website www.popcornmagazine.net or in our magazine.
