How old was Shaq when he realized he wanted to be a basketball player?
He has been playing since the age of five; however, he played more than one sport. He was 14 when he realized that basketball was his sport of choice!
Did he want to play basketball because he was tall?
Shaquille grew too tall for football. When he played, the other opponents would tackle him at the knees.
Do Shaq’s kids like having a famous Dad?
His kids see him as ... Daddy!
If Shaq was just an average guy with no basketball skills, what else would he do?
Shaquille is a wonder-ful businessman and works well with others. I imagine he would be in some sort of business closely associated with public relations.
If he didn’t get paid a lot of money, do you think he would still play?
He would still play because he loves the game that much.
Why do you think athletes get in so much trouble? Do we forget they are human with problems like anybody else?
At some point, do you think Shaq would like to coach? Personally, I think he may like to coach his sons if they decide to play all sports.
Are Shaq’s kids interested in basketball?
All of his kids are interested in basketball!
With his size, he could have been a football player; did he consider that?
As far as I know, football was never a consideration for a professional career or otherwise.
What keeps Shaq interested in the game; he has his rings, big bucks, and is one of the most popular players; what else is there?
The love of the sport and the variety of competitors keeps him interested in the game.
How does Shaq relate to his brothers and sisters?
Shaquille has a very close and special relationship with his brother and sisters.
How important is education to Shaq?
Education was important enough for Shaquille to retun to LSU to complete his studies then go on to obtain a graduate degree (MBA) from the University of Phoenix. Don’t be surprised if soon we will have to call him DR. O’NEAL ...One thing he hasn’t fogotten; there is life after basketball!
